Testosterone is always and constantly associated as being the primary hormone only available within the male body.

This is a common myth – while the quantities of testosterone in the female body are only small, and about 9 times less than the male body, the anabolic steroid hormone is still readily available and a beneficial part of female health and sex drive.

These levels of testosterone found within a female body are typically produced by the ovaries – this is due to the fact that when a fetus is beginning to produce inside the womb, and before the fetus has developed a sex, the testes have a chance of either being ovaries, or testes.

Testosterone in females, much like males, helps produce an impressively strong immune system. The immune system is usually fragile, and due to the anabolic steroid nature of testosterone, the hormone solidifies and works off of the levels of natural cholesterol present in the body.

Osteoporosis is a degenerative bone disease that has a tendency to occur within males and females during the average age of 72. The disease is sometimes caused by the lack of calcium present in the body, however the levels of testosterone counteract the degenerative condition, due to the fact that it helps strengthen the bones and keep the immune system strong.

Often with females, who believe their mind is better suited to that of the male gender, testosterone that has been synthesized and turned into a pill is often taken in order to take down the levels of estrogen within the female body, and increase the levels of testosterone to build up muscle mass, strengthen facial features, and sometimes broaden the shoulders.

While an operation to create a male sexual organ is not yet possible, some people wishing to turn to a male gender will undergo mastectomy operations and undertake hormone therapy with daily doses administered either via pill, hormone patches (applied to the skin), or an intravenous injection.

Testosterone sprays and creams used to boost sex drive is not uncommon for the female gender either, tests of a new testosterone spray to be on the market in the next few years encourages the spray to be administered in the abdominal region for best results, usually encouraging sexual activity and a higher chance of an orgasm occurring amongst females whose testosterone levels were floundering, and were estimated to start menopause within the coming years.

Without testosterone levels being found within the female body, there would be almost a complete lack of sex drive. Testosterone is import in withholding a sex drive, keeping the hormones and the rest of the body in balance, strengthening the immune system and helps to fight against the often found degenerative bone disease of osteoporosis.
