Things that reduce your testosterone levels

Zinc

Zinc is a great mineral supplement for increasing your Testosterone levels naturally. You can take between 15-40 mg of zinc as a supplement daily. This depends on how much natural zinc you are consuming daily. Do not take more than 50mg a day. Foods rich in natural zinc are:

  • Cereals
  • Nuts especially pine and cashew
  • Wheatgerm
  • Oysters
  • Shellfish
  • Fish
  • Eggs

Don’t over do it with zinc! You may get diarrhoea or white lines (not spots as spots are a sign of zinc deficiency) on your nails.


Eat a balanced diet (ideally organic if possible)

There are so many fad diets out there. Many people are restricting the intake of certain essential foods, vitamins and minerals that this is impacting their Testosterone levels. As an example, the Atkins Diet may be great for weight loss, but the lack of carbohydrates means a reduction in Testosterone levels.

Make sure you stick to a health diet. We were not meant to starve our bodies of certain essential foods. Don’t avoid all fats either. Some fat in your diet especially essential fatty acids can be very good for elevating and maintaining Testosterone levels.


Take up weight training and/or exercising

Weight training, especially hard, heavy compound movements can contribute to overall Testosterone elevation. Great exercises are:

  • Squats
  • Deadlift
  • Bench Press
  • Overhead Press
  • Barbell Row


Sleep more than 8 hours a night

Sleeping is absolutely essential to the production of Testosterone. So many things happen when you sleep. Not only does your body’s pharmacy get to work but your body also “tests out” so many functions ensuring you are running at 100%.
During sleep your body tests our your blood flow, hormone levels and general well being. It then adjusts things automatically. If you don’t sleep enough, you don’t give your body a chance to do its job!


View porn in moderation if at all!

A little bit of porn can be good as long as it is for imagination purposes. If you are hooked on porn and masturbating left, right and centre then you can kiss your Testosterone levels goodbye.
Have more sex but do not masturbate as this drastically reduces your Testosterone levels.

 

Reduce Body Fat

If you have body fat levels over 15%, then chances are your testosterone levels can be lower than what they should be. Make sure through a regime of aerobic exercise, healthy eating and supplementation that you reduce your body fat levels.
They needn’t be at 2% (as that would also screw up your Testosterone levels!) but a nice healthy level.


Care for your testes!

Don’t over-heat your testes! They hand low from your body as they need to be at a lower temperature than the rest of your body. Make sure you let them do their job right and efficiently and don’t over-heat them! Sleep in the nude if you can.
So don’t wear tight, hot or thick underwear or jeans. Don’t put the car seat heater on!

Changing your diet

Have the following foods on your shopping list the next time you go to the supermarket. It is advisable to buy all or as many of the items as possible. Some foods will work better for some people so buying them all and experimenting is the best way.

Avocado
Avocados contain libido-boosting B vitamins, E vitamin and fatty acids. Avocado is a “powerful” sexual energy booster.

Figs
High in amino acids and zinc. Figs are fantastic natural libido boosters. Even if they are not in season or in your country, you can get dried figs pretty much from any supermarket or health food store.

Onions and garlic

If you have to fry them, then so be it but make sure you get some onions and garlic into your diet. Ginseng
OK, the Chinese are not renowned for being great lovers but they sure know their herbs! Though Ginseng is not a “food” as such, it is an “essential” addition to your arsenal for a healthy sexual appetite. Pop 1-2 high quality Ginseng tablets a day and see the difference.

Pumpkin Seeds
Full of essential oils, zinc and great for hormone production. Also good for the prostate.

Eggs
Eggs are extremely beneficial to having a great sex life. They are full of protein, vitamins and minerals.

Bananas
Full of bromelain, B vitamins and potassium. Bananas also increase overall energy.

Celery
Celery can increase testosterone levels.

Asparagus
Contains vitamin E, probably the most important sex vitamin.

Fenugreek
A seriously strong herb for boosting testosterone levels, so critical to increased sexual desire.

Basil
Increases circulation all over the body.

Cardamon
Good for increased sexual desire. Increases blood flow and is considered to be an aphrodisiac.

Chillies

Maca
This is one of the most powerful sexual stimulants. It is not at the top of the list because it is not really your “every day” food. If you can get hold of it, even as a supplement, go for it.

Fish

NOT the sugary type. This needs to be at least 70%+ cocoa. Then you will see benefits in mood and sexual appetite. Don't overdo it as you don't want to get fat in the process of becoming a sex god/godess.


How to combine and see results

Like most lists you probably go over it, memorise some of it and put it into action...maybe...if you remember.

STOP. Don't treat this like any other list. Print it out and take it with you to your local supermarket.
Once you have bought the foods, start incorporating them in your diet.

Examples:

Eat some bananas and a handful of pumpkin seeds and almonds mid morning.

Salad: Make a salad and add avocado, dried figs, celery, boiled eggs and onions to it. Add lots of olive oil.

Grill some asparagus with your lunch and dinner. Try and have fish rather than chicken or turkey.

Add ginger, chillies and basil to sauces.

 

The above is good advice that works and costs you nothing. Try it! Remember too much Testosterone can turn to Estrogen, when is not good so you have to do everything in moderation.
